About Diana
The story behind the practice
In my twenties, while building a successful career in computer science in the corporate world, I found myself increasingly disconnected from my work, my joy, and ultimately my body. The burnout revealed what I already sensed: my life was out of alignment. I knew I needed to make a change. This awakening set me on a decades-long journey of healing and embodied transformation.
The journey
My first major turning point came through Biodanza, a music- and movement-based practice I discovered and immersed myself in while living in Colombia. The experience reawakened my vitality and clarified my wish to work directly with people through the wisdom of the body.
After moving to Canada, I trained extensively for several years in somatic disciplines, becoming a Zen Shiatsu therapist and instructor. I went on to study medical qigong, craniosacral therapy, Sotai, Thai massage, oriental breathing therapy, and Vipassana meditation. Through this deep engagement with embodied practice, I transformed my own physical, emotional, and mental health, and opened my private practice in Toronto in 2005.
Over time, I recognized that lasting healing emerges through dialogue, relational presence, and the awareness we build together. This led me to train in Gestalt therapy at the Gestalt Institute of Toronto and later to specialize in Gestalt coaching through the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, graduating in 2024.
My approach
With a grounding in decades of embodied practice and a deep trust in the intelligence of the body-mind, I hold the space with warmth, empathy, and care, supporting individuals to cultivate wellbeing, resilience, and meaningful change.
My body-centered approach to Gestalt therapy and coaching integrates somatic awareness, breath, movement, and purposeful dialogue, helping clients develop a felt sense of themselves and access their innate capacity for clarity and choice.
With a focus on experimentation and curiosity, dialogue can take various forms such as talking, movement, or artistic expression.

In English y en español
Spanish is my first language, and English is the language I built my practice in. Sessions can happen in either, or move between the two. This matters especially for couples who live between both languages: each of you gets to speak from the language where the feeling lives, and nothing gets lost on the way.
