You know something isn't quite right anymore

Perhaps it's time to see what you go through differently. Through Gestalt coaching we create space for you to reconnect with yourself, step outside the frame, move away from your struggle and gain perspective to see, choose and act in new ways.

What brings people here

Where you are, and where you want to be

What feels familiar, and what you are longing for.

Right now, you may feel…

  • Pulled in every direction

with nothing left over for yourself

  • A body that will not settle

a tight neck, shallow breath, sleep that does not restore

  • Turning the same decision over and over

    without action

  • Feeling stressed and tense

from having too much on your plate

  • A grief, a loss, or a change you did not choose

    still living in your chest

  • Far from your own joy

    and unsure when that happened

Deep down, you may want…

  • To hear your own voice again

    and to trust it

  • To feel at home in your body

    and one with your mind

  • To make decisions

    from a place of clarity

  • To be met exactly as you are

    without performing being fine

  • To fully show up

and create the life you want

  • To live from your own wisdom

    rather than everyone else's advice

How this works

This is where Gestalt coaching can help

You sense that something needs your attention. Perhaps you are ready to pause, breathe and talk about what is happening in your own unique way. Talking can be challenging, and deeply helpful, when you have a space where you feel safe, supported and heard.

You are the expert of your own life. I bring my experience and expertise along with curiosity and presence to guide the process. Through conversation, together we slow things down and explore what matters to you and what you want for yourself.

When words aren't enough, somatic work, breathwork and movement are there to support your process.

Gestalt coaching

Let's be curious about your whole experience: what you are thinking, feeling, sensing and doing, and what is alive in you in the present moment.

Somatic work

Our body is always part of our experience and knows before our mind does. Zen Shiatsu taught me to listen to its wisdom, and I guide you to listen to yours.

Breathwork

Paying attention to how you breathe slows you down and brings you back to the present moment. Oriental breathing has been essential to my own mind and body connection.

Movement

A walk shifts your breath, energy and mood, settles the nervous system and opens a different perspective. Movement has been vital to my own health.

Who I work with

  • People standing at a crossroads, navigating decisions, transitions or new chapters
  • People who want more fulfilling relationships and authentic connection
  • People who are carrying too much, feeling stressed, tense or constantly "on"
  • People who wonder why the same thing keeps happening, and feel caught in a pattern
  • People who want to grow and live more authentically
  • Helping professionals who spend their days helping others and want a space to support themselves
  • People whose lives move between languages

What will you take into your everyday life?

  • The capacity to understand yourself deeply, with curiosity rather than judgment
  • A wider perspective, and the new possibilities you can see from it
  • The potential to choose, and to take action
  • Practical strategies you design for yourself, to anchor what you discover
  • Knowing that small shifts can make meaningful change
  • Practices to support your journey: breathwork, movement and self-care

How we work together

What we bring

What I do

I meet you where you are, and I listen fully.

I see you as a whole person, without labels, and I am interested in all that you want to say and in what emerges between us. I become aware of the cracks of light in your story and I acknowledge your potential. I trust my intuition to guide the process as I walk beside you, always respecting your pace and your autonomy.

What you do

Come as you are.

There is no right way to arrive. Bring whatever is present and alive for you: questions, uncertainty, excitement, doubt, or simply a sense that something needs attention. You know your life, so bring whatever you want to focus on. We begin there.

What we create together

We create a dialogue, and it can take many forms.

Talking, metaphor, movement, or artistic expression. We explore polarities and set up experiments that allow new ways of seeing and understanding what you are struggling with. And we create strategies that are meaningful to you, to help anchor your new awareness in your life.

What a session feels like

A session is a little like walking together. You choose where you begin and I walk beside you with care, curiosity and respect. We can pause, take a breath and slow down, and you can bring whatever is present for you. As you come to understand yourself and your situation with compassion, you may feel lighter, more relaxed and revitalized. With that energy can come a sense of possibility, and you may leave more at peace with yourself and clearer about what you want to do next.

Whether we meet in person in Toronto or online over Zoom, both are spaces for meaningful, experiential work. Wherever we connect, I meet you where you are. You choose the format that feels right for you.

Frequently asked questions

What to know before you book

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy focuses on healing emotional distress, resolving past unfinished business, trauma and diagnosable conditions. Its orientation runs from the present to the past. Coaching applies Gestalt awareness principles to build future potential, professional and personal wellbeing, and inner leadership goals in a healthy client system. Its orientation runs from the present to the future, and it focuses on relationships, work, desired changes in life and dilemmas.

How is Gestalt coaching different from other kinds of coaching?

The primary role of the Gestalt coach is to create awareness of the choices available to you, and to help you take responsibility and ownership for the decision you then make. Gestalt therapeutic coaching goes beyond surface issues and mere problem solving. The synergy between Gestalt concepts and methods, and the coach's own skills, attitudes and values, creates richer and more meaningful conversations. This approach promotes deeper self-discovery and leads to sustainable, positive change that goes beyond temporary solutions.

Do I need to arrive with a goal?

No. Many people start with wanting to understand themselves better, or with a sense that something needs to change and no name for it yet. The goal tends to arrive on its own once we have started, and it is usually more accurate than the one you would have written down beforehand.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you are working on. Some people come for a short arc and leave with what they came for. Others work over three or four months, which is long enough for a pattern to surface, be worked, and hold its new shape. Most people start weekly, because the rhythm is part of what makes it work, and space sessions further apart as things settle. Some come back a year or two later when something new arrives. We will have a clearer sense after the first two or three sessions, and you are never committed further than the package you have booked.

What do I need for an online session?

A private space where you can speak out loud without being concerned about who might hear you. A device with a camera you can prop up rather than hold, and enough room to stand and move if you need it. Headphones help. I will send the link before we meet. Clients who have moved countries partway through have carried on online without losing any depth.

What is your cancellation policy?

Please give at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, or the full amount will be charged.
